villa bali /1
Fictitious project
Having moved to Indonesia in 2023, I was excited to enrich my portfolio with projects that represented the Bali vibe.
I created two modern villa projects, designed in a style adapted to Bali that we could also find in the mediterranean and Mexico. These two projects are fictitious and not designed to be built (see Villa Bali /2 for the second project). The goal was to show my capacity for adaptability to all types of projects and my sensitivity to other design styles.
For this first project, I used a classic villa layout with simplistic designs to keep the project realistic. The constraint I gave myself was to design three bedrooms, including a master room with a private bathroom. For the design, the purpose was to create a project adapted to Bali’s design, simple but well-thought-out and welcoming. I worked with natural handcrafted furniture made from teak or bamboo, textured rugs, and rattan. All modernized with the use of polished concrete. For the colors, I used soft shades to enhance the light and compliment the wood.
