Apartment renovation

For this project, the objective was to renovate an outdated apartment. The focus was on modernizing the space, addressing issues such as deteriorating walls covered with wallpaper, old carpets, and damaged laminate and parquet floors.

My involvement in the project was strictly technical, with no alterations to the client’s existing furniture and decor. I proposed painting the walls in a warm off-white shade, enhancing the atmosphere while allowing their wooden family furniture to stand out without overcrowding the visual space. The bathroom and toilet walls were painted in a light taupe color to complement the new tile color. To add a pop of color and modernize the space without adopting an overly modern style, we painted the doors and casings in gray, matching the recently replaced front door. Responding to the client’s preference for a solid floor, we installed the same flooring throughout to maintain continuity and avoid visual clutter.

To infuse a contemporary feel into the apartment while avoiding excessive modernity, we incorporated industrial elements. This included industrial glass doors in the living room and kitchen, black handles, and an elegant black pendant light in the hallway.

Below are before-and-after photos for your enjoyment.
